Bournemouth Philharmonic Orchestra

Founded in 1976, we are a friendly and welcoming orchestra of around 40 players of all ages who rehearse weekly throughout the year and regularly perform concerts around the Bournemouth area.

 

We enjoy exploring a variety of works from classical symphonies and concertos to film scores, and other light music for the enjoyment of players and audiences alike.

 

Rehearsals are held at the Immanuel Church, Southbourne on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30, with a short break for refreshments. 

 

We are always keen to hear from any players who are interested in joining the orchestra. There are no formal auditions but new players are invited to attend rehearsals to see how well they like and fit in with the ethos of the orchestra before joining.
